Ancient wisdom. A balanced life. A path of discovery.

Mediterranean Yoga brings together movement, breathing, meditation, and philosophical reflection to cultivate vitality, inner harmony, and self-discovery. Inspired by the wisdom of ancient Egypt and Greece, it offers an accessible approach to well-being and spiritual growth, connecting body, mind, and spirit through practices that enrich everyday life.

A Living Lineage

Mediterranean Yoga draws on the heritage preserved and cultivated by Aurum Solis, the “Gold of the Sun.” This tradition finds its inspiration in the philosophical and spiritual worlds of ancient Egypt, Greece, and the wider Mediterranean, where self-knowledge, harmony, and the development of human potential were closely connected.

Within Aurum Solis, the continuity of this teaching is expressed through the Golden Chain: successive generations of teachers and initiates who receive, practice, and transmit its wisdom. The succession of Grand Masters represents the responsibility to preserve this inheritance and give it meaningful expression in each generation.

Jean-Louis de Biasi, Grand Master and co-founder of Mediterranean Yoga alongside Patricia Bourin, brings this heritage into dialogue with decades of study, teaching, and personal practice. Mediterranean Yoga gives it an accessible contemporary expression through the Eight Rays, connecting movement, breath, awareness, and reflection with everyday life.

Continuity Through Practice

A living tradition grows through experience. In Mediterranean Yoga, this heritage takes shape through learning, regular practice, and the relationships between teachers and students. Its purpose is to help each person cultivate balance, deepen understanding, and express their potential in the world.

Recognition & Organization

Mediterranean Yoga is recognized as a yoga school by the International Yoga Federation, the world’s largest nonprofit yoga federation, bringing together millions of practitioners and teachers through a global network of centers and organizations.

Mediterranean Yoga is also a member of the European Union of Yoga Organizations. In France, it is represented by the Association française de Yoga Méditerranéen, a nonprofit association established under the French Law of 1901.
